Hyperhidrosis is a condition where the body produces excess sweat. There are two types of Hyperhidrosis: 


Primary- It is not clear why it develops, it is thought to be the result of a problem with part of the nervous system. It is possible that your genes may also play a role. 

Secondary- may be caused by pregnancy, the menopause, anxiety, certain medications and some infections. 

How does it work?


Botulin toxin injections can be injected into the skin in areas of the body affected by hyperhidrosis. This helps reduce sweating in these areas by blocking the signals from the brain to the sweat glands Around  15-20 injections are given in the affected areas of the body, such as the armpits, hands, feet or face. The procedure usually takes about 30-45 minutes in total

What result can I expect?

The treatment can take up to 2-4 weeks to take affect after the initial placement of the injections.
